Connecticut Affordable Housing Conference ›
Event / Event /
Partnership for Strong Communities (PSC) is excited to host the third annual Connecticut’s Affordable Housing Conference (CAHC) virtually across November 14, 15 and 16, 2022. This year the CAHC will focus on Building Stability and will spotlight a wide array of best practice, collaborations, and coordinated advocacy strategies to strengthen housing stability for households and communities across Connecticut. This year's conference will feature a menu of sessions relevant to affordable housing developers, tenant advocates, lenders and funders, public housing authorities, municipal and state policy leaders, housing advocates, and the general public.
The CAHC works to feature content that builds the public and political will to realize equitable, stable, affordable housing in Connecticut.
Housing instability takes many forms: paying too much of one's income for housing, living with family or friends to share costs, living in overcrowded or substandard housing, living in unsafe or disinvested neighborhoods, experiencing eviction or a forced move, and at its worst, literal homelessness. BIPOC households disproportionately experience housing instability.
As temporary renter protections expire and pandemic resource infusions wane, more and more CT households face paying more than 30% of their of income on housing costs, living in unsafe or unhealthy housing, or experiencing eviction. The CAHC will explore how we can build the public and political will to realize equitable, stable, affordable housing in Connecticut. We are currently accepting proposals for sessions, please visit the sessions tab for more information.
The CAHC is free and open for all to attend with the generous support of our sponsors. For information about sponsoring the CAHC, visit the sponsors tab. Registration for the conference will open by mid-October.

In 2021, PSC hosted the second annual conference: Roadmap to Recovery which offered a virtual multi-day event with conversations that explore challenges, share best practices, and coalesce us around critical next steps to address key affordable housing issues in our state. Recordings of last year's conference are available on demand on the Partnership's YouTube channel.
